Day 1: Guiyang – Libo – Maolan National Nature Reserve

Depart from Guiyang in the morning and drive to Libo, a beautiful destination in southern Guizhou renowned for its karst landscapes, forests, rivers and waterfalls.
Upon arrival, visit Maolan National Nature Reserve, one of the most important karst forest areas in southern China. Covering more than 20,000 hectares, the reserve features dramatic limestone mountains, clear streams, dense forests, deep valleys and diverse natural habitats.
Walk through the reserve and enjoy the peaceful surroundings while discovering the close relationship between the karst landscape and its forest ecosystem. The area is also home to a rich variety of plants and wildlife, making it an excellent destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
After exploring Maolan, drive back to Libo town and check in at your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Libo – Xiaoqikong Scenic Area – Mandarin Duck Lakes – Libo

After breakfast, head to Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Libo.
The scenic area is famous for its combination of karst mountains, clear streams, forests, caves, lakes and waterfalls. Follow the scenic trails through the lush landscape and enjoy the changing views as streams flow through the forest and waterfalls cascade over limestone formations.
One of the highlights is the Xiangshui River Waterfalls, a series of cascading falls surrounded by dense greenery. The area offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and photograph the distinctive karst scenery.
Continue to Mandarin Duck Lakes, a tranquil area surrounded by dense forest. The clear water reflects the surrounding trees and mountains, creating beautiful scenery that changes with the weather and season.
A boat ride on the lakes is a relaxing way to appreciate the landscape, subject to weather and local operating conditions. Keep an eye on the water and surrounding forest, where the area’s natural beauty is especially striking.
In the late afternoon, return to your hotel in Libo and enjoy a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, visit Daqikong Scenic Area, another spectacular karst destination in Libo.
The scenic area takes its name from Daqikong Bridge, an ancient stone bridge near the entrance. Compared with Xiaoqikong, Daqikong is characterized by dramatic gorges, dense forests, underground streams, caves and striking limestone formations.
Follow the scenic trails into the valley and discover a series of impressive natural features, including Tiansheng Bridge, Fengshen Cave, Kongbu Canyon and Di’e Cave. Deep within the karst landscape, underground rivers, caves and waterfalls create a fascinating combination of above-ground and underground scenery.
The dramatic cliffs, forests and limestone formations give Daqikong a wild and atmospheric character, making it an excellent complement to the more water-focused landscapes of Xiaoqikong.
After sightseeing, meet your guide and driver and begin the journey back to Guiyang.
