Day 1: Guiyang – Jidao Miao Village – Xijiang Miao Village (Lunch)
Your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Guiyang and drive to Kaili, the cultural center of the Miao people in southeastern Guizhou.
Your first stop is Jidao Miao Village, a traditional Miao community known for its peaceful rural setting and well-preserved cultural traditions. Take a walk through the village and discover its old paths, traditional granaries, ancient trees and local folk songs. The visit offers an introduction to the history and everyday life of the Miao people in the Kaili area.
After lunch, continue to Xijiang Miao Village, one of the largest and most famous Miao communities in China. The village stretches across the surrounding hills and consists of a number of smaller settlements connected by winding lanes and paths.
As you explore Xijiang, you will see traditional wooden houses built on the hillsides, with the Baishui River flowing through the valley below. The village is an excellent place to learn about Miao history, traditional architecture, clothing, festivals, handicrafts and daily life.
Depending on the season and local arrangements, you may have the opportunity to see Miao folk songs and dances, traditional costumes and silver ornaments. The Miao people are particularly renowned for their elaborate silverwork, which plays an important role in traditional dress and celebrations.
In the evening, enjoy the spectacular night view of Xijiang, when thousands of lights illuminate the wooden houses along the hillsides.

Day 2: Xijiang – Upper Langde Miao Village – Rongjiang (Lunch)
After breakfast, leave Xijiang and travel to Upper Langde Miao Village, another traditional Miao settlement near Kaili.
Surrounded by green mountains and located beside a clear stream, Upper Langde is known for its traditional wooden houses and strong Miao cultural traditions. Take a relaxing walk through the village and observe the distinctive stilted architecture, stone-paved paths and traditional courtyards.
Depending on local arrangements, you may receive a traditional Miao welcome featuring folk songs and the local “blocking-the-way wine” ceremony. These welcoming customs offer a memorable introduction to Miao hospitality and local culture.
Continue your journey toward Rongjiang, traveling through the scenic mountain landscapes of southeastern Guizhou. Upon arrival in Rongjiang, check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Rongjiang – Sanbao Dong Village – Zhaoxing Dong Village – Congjiang (Lunch)
In the morning, visit Sanbao Dong Village near Rongjiang. Located along the Chejiang River, the area is made up of a number of traditional Dong settlements and is an excellent place to learn about Dong culture and rural life.
Explore the village and see traditional wooden houses, distinctive Dong architecture and the peaceful landscape surrounding the river valley.
After the visit, continue toward Zhaoxing Dong Village in Liping County. Nestled in a mountain basin with a small river running through it, Zhaoxing is one of the best-known Dong villages in Guizhou and is famous for its traditional architecture and distinctive cultural heritage.
Walk through the village and discover its wooden houses, covered bridges and impressive Drum Towers, which are important gathering places for the local Dong community. The village’s traditional architecture blends naturally with the surrounding mountains and river, creating a particularly picturesque landscape.
After exploring Zhaoxing, continue to Congjiang for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Congjiang – Jiabang Rice Terraces – Basha Miao Village – Guiyang (Lunch)
After breakfast, begin your journey through the mountainous countryside of southeastern Guizhou toward the spectacular Jiabang Rice Terraces.
Jiabang Rice Terraces stretch across the mountain slopes and form a beautiful landscape of layered fields, traditional wooden houses and winding valleys. Depending on the season and weather, the terraces can appear very different: filled with water in spring, lush green in summer, golden in autumn and often surrounded by clouds and mist.
Take some time to enjoy the panoramic views and photograph the terraces and traditional villages scattered among the fields.
Continue to Basha Miao Village, a distinctive Miao community known for its traditional way of life and strong cultural identity. The villagers have preserved many traditional customs, wooden houses and elements of their ancestral culture.
Walk through the village and learn about the local Miao traditions, architecture and everyday life. The visit provides a fascinating contrast to the larger and more developed Xijiang Miao Village.
In the late afternoon, your private guide and driver will drive you back to Guiyang. Your 4-day Guizhou ethnic villages tour ends upon arrival at your hotel in Guiyang.
