At 8:00 am, your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby, ferry terminal, or airport and start your Chongqing city sightseeing tour.
Known as one of China’s four municipalities directly under the central government, Chongqing is famous for its dramatic mountainous landscape, unique urban architecture, the mighty Yangtze River, and spectacular night views. This full-day tour will allow you to experience Chongqing from different perspectives, discovering both its modern cityscape and traditional culture.
Your first stop will be Liziba Metro Station, one of Chongqing’s most fascinating urban landmarks. Here you will witness the famous scene of a light rail train passing directly through a residential building, a unique example of Chongqing’s creative urban planning and three-dimensional city design.
Afterward, take the metro to the People’s Great Hall of Chongqing, one of the city’s most iconic architectural landmarks. Completed in 1954, this magnificent building was designed to commemorate China’s victory in the War of Resistance and the founding of the new government. With its impressive traditional Chinese architectural style, it has been recognized as one of the top ten classic architectures of 20th-century Asia.
In the afternoon, continue to Ciqikou Ancient Town, a historic mountain town that dates back over a thousand years. Originally famous for its traditional porcelain production, Ciqikou is now a wonderful place to experience old Chongqing culture, local handicrafts, traditional snacks, and folk customs. Strolling along the ancient stone streets, you will discover the charm of traditional Chongqing life.
Later in the afternoon, visit Hongyadong, Chongqing’s most famous riverside landmark. Built along the mountain slopes beside the Jialing River, Hongyadong offers a spectacular view, especially when the lights come on at night, creating one of the most unforgettable cityscapes in China.
After sightseeing, your guide will take you to enjoy an authentic Chongqing Hot Pot dinner, one of the city’s most famous culinary experiences. Known for its rich flavors, spicy broth, and unique dining culture, Chongqing hot pot is a must-try experience for visitors who want to taste the true spirit of the city.

In the afternoon you will head to Ciqikou old town. Ciqikou received its name from making of Chinaware in ancient time. It is also a good place to explore local folklore. Walk through this ancient mountain street, explore the folklore of old Chongqing.
And then in the late afternoon you will head to Hongyadong, where you will enjoy the beautiful night of Chongqing.
After visiting the museum, your guide will take you to taste authentic Chongqing Hot Pot (steam bowel) which is well known and popular in China. You will challenge this hot and spicy dish for lunch to appreciate its popularity.
