Situated in the deep mountains of Xizang, Sichuan, Yunnan, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Tibet had long been protected by the high plateau and Snow Mountains for thousands of years and only horse trails connected with out world. It was in mid of 20th century 3 highways started from Chengdu, Gormud, Kashigar reached it in different direction, so this mysterious worlds were opened to world. Local Tibetan gave them a name “road to Sky”. Although flights and trains can reach Tibet easy today, these roads still remains as the challenge to overland and off-road lovers. Among them, from Gormud to Lhasa is the safest one.
   In this adventure, we provided 3 ways of overland expedition. Besides the exiting adventure, the beautiful nature will accompany us all the way. You can decide which one to take.

Itinerary 1:   Chengdu To Lhasa
D1_ Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu and check in the pre-booked hotel yourself. Meet tour leader at hotel in the evening. Prepare for overland tours.
D2__Chengdu / Kangding   ( 320Kms , driving 6 hrs )
Visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base in the morning, and then head for Kangding, the capital of Kham Tibetan prefecture. Enjoy the Mt Erlang, Sichuan Plain and Dadu River en route. Night in hotel.
D3 _  Kangding /Litang  ( 260Kms , driving 5 hrs )
The whole day drive in plateau. Enjoy Snow Mountain, peaks, Yaks, Tibetan nomadic, meadow of plateau en route. Cross Mt Zeduo (4260ms ), Gaoer Temple ( 4700 ms ) , visit Litang Monastery ( Yellow Section ) in the after noon. Night in hotel.
D4 _ Litang/ Markham ( 274Kms, driving 7 hrs )
Continue drive in the plateau. The trip is difficult for the unpaved road. Pass by Batang and Jinshajiang river (Yangtze River ). In the late afternoon arrive in Markham county. Night Camping.
D5 _ Markham / Paksho ( 294Kms , driving 6 hrs )
Drive in plateau. We will get over the Lancangjiang river first, then the Dongda mountains (6000ms), then pass the high land grassland of 4000 meters above sea level. Farewell to the grassland, via the famous ninety-nine bending and down to the Nujiang river. Night Camping.
D6 _ Paksho / Pome ( 217Kms , driving 5 hrs)
Continue driving. Enjoy beautiful Ranwu Lake and Namjiabawa Peak. Arrive in Pome county in the afternoon, which is located in the dense forest with enough oxygen and comfortable climate. Night camping .
D7 _Pome/Bayi ( 192Kms, driving 5 hours )
Today drive through the dense forest, then get over one snow mountain, enjoy folklore of primeval Menba and Luoba nationality. Arrive in Bayi, and then visit Basong Lake. Night in hotel.
D8 _Bayi / Lhasa ( 274Kms, driving 5 hours )
Continue the last part of long driving via Mt Mila. Enjoy the grand view of Potala palace in distance. Enjoy a Tibetan banquet and dancing show in the evening. Night in hotel.
D9 _ Lhasa Exploration
City Tours. Relax in Potala Palace, Jokhang Monastery, Barkor Street ,bargaining. Night in hotel . 
D10 _ Lhasa Exploration
City tours. Visit Drepung Temple and Sera Monastery . Night in hotel.
D11_Lhasa Departure .
After breakfast, travel finish

Itinerary 2:       Qinghai – Tibetan Plateau Overland
D1 Xining Arrive in Xining, check in hotel and prepare for adventure.
D2 Xining / Qinghai Lake   Drive to Qinghai Lake in the morning via Riyue Mountain. Enjoy the wide Qinghai lake in the afternoon.
D3 Qinghai / Dulan/ Gormud   Driving all the day. Enjoy the sparse Gebi desert all the day.
D4 Golmud / Tuotuo He River  Today we will enter the wide Tibetan plateau gradually. And try to be acclimated with the rising of sea level. Pass by Kunlun Mountain pass.         
D5 Tuotuo He River / Amdo After view the landscape of the tuotuo river drive across the Tangkula mountain pass and enter the wide and flat North Tibetan grassland.
D6 Amdo / Namutso Lake  Continue to drive, and arrive in Namutso Lake, walk around in the lake in the afternoon.   
D7 Namutso / Lhasa   Drive Lhasa .
D8 Lhasa  Visit Potala Palace and Jorkang Temple.
D9 Lhasa    Free to explore the city.
D10 Departure      Bid farewell to Lhasa and fly away.

Itinerary 3:     Tibet to Xinjiang route
D1 Lhasa  Fly to Lhasa in the morning, then free to be acclimated in the afternoon. Night in hotel .
D2 Lhasa Visit Potala Palace in the morning, Jorkang Temple and Barkor street in the afternoon. Night in hotel .
D3 Lhasa /Gyangtse /Shygatse  Head for Gyangtse in the morning. Have a bird’s eye view of Yamdok lake. Visit the Pagoda and monastery in Gyangtse, then continue to drive to Shygatse . Night in hotel .
D4 Shygatse / Lazi / Tingri  Head for Tingri all the day, enjoy the mountains and grassland en route. Night in hotel .
D5 Tingri / Everest  We will drive up to the base of Everest, visit the Rombok monastery . Then back to Tingri. Night in local hotel .
D6 Tingri / Saga  
Drive to Saga all the day. Enjoy the Yalongzambo River valley en route. Camping .
D7 Saga / Paryang     Driving. We will enjoy the precious animals in the wide land en route. Camping 
D8 Paryang –Lake manasarovar      Driving. Enjoy the farm of Northwest Tibet. Camping.
D9 Mt Kailash and Lake Manasarovar Exploration Walk around beautiful Mt Kailash and Lake Manasarovar with local pilgrims. Camping.  
D10 Lake Manasarovar - Tsapurang 
Drive to Tsapurang, enjoy the Mt Gangdis, Elephant River valley . Camping. 
D11 Tsaparang (Guge kingdom)  Visit the Earth Forest of Zada, then the ruins of mysterious Guge kingdom.  Camping.
D13 Tsaparang (Guge kingdom) – Gar     Driving to Gar all the day. Night in hotel .
D14 Gar – Domar       Driving. Camping
D15 Domar /Tielborg Driving across the mountain pass of Jieshan. Camping .                 
D16 Tieborlg / Xaidula      Driving .                
D17 Xaidulla /Yecheng     Driving . Enjoy the view of Ugur people            
D18 Yecheng /Kashigar   Driving , enjoy the view of Ugur people. Arrive in Kashigar in the afternoon. END.
