Chuancai Museum of Sichuan Cuisine
The Chengdu Chuancai Museum of Sichuan Cuisine ( 川菜博物馆 Sichuan Cuisine Museum ) is located in Pidu District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, near one of the region’s historic ancient towns. As a National AAAA Tourist Attraction and a National Second-Class Museum, it is China’s first museum dedicated entirely to Sichuan cuisine and culinary culture.
Often described as “the world’s first edible museum,” the Sichuan Chuancai Museum offers visitors an immersive experience that combines history, culture, interactive cooking, and authentic local flavors. Covering approximately 40 mu (about 2.7 hectares), the museum houses a collection of more than 6,000 cultural artifacts related to the history and development of Sichuan cuisine.
