Enshi Tusi Castle
Enshi Tusi Castle is located at No.138 Tusi Road, Enshi City, Hubei Province's Enshi Tujia
and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, 1.5 kilometers from the city center. Covering an area of over 300 mu, it is a historic site and architectural garden landscape with folk culture features, as well as a replica of a traditional Tusi manor complex.
The Tusi system in the Enshi region began during the Yuan Dynasty and ended in the 13th year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1735), spanning more than 450 years across three dynasties. Enshi Tusi castle was established in 1998. Its core scenic area consists of three main components: the Mochong Tower at the entrance, the Lianjun Temple within the site, and the Jiujin Hall deep inside the complex. The site includes 12 scenic zones with over 30 attractions, such as the gate tower, a Dong ethnic wind-and-rain bridge, the Lianjun Temple, a military training ground, Tujia residential houses, the Tusi King's Palace (Jiujin Hall), city walls, a bell tower, a drum tower, a Hundred Flowers Garden, a White Tiger statue, the Wo Hu Iron Bridge, the Tingtao Teahouse, and an Ethnic Art Garden.
