Mt. Maijishan Grottoes Tour Attractions
Mount Maijishan Tour Attractions is located in Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. The Yangtze River and Yellow River watershed pass through the scenic area. With a planned area of 215 square kilometers, Mt. Maijishan Scenic Area is composed of more than 180 scenic spots, including Maijishan Grottoes, Xianren Cliff, Shimen, Qushui and Jieting Hot Spring. The scenic area is rich in animal and plant species, geological landforms, unique climate, and the culture of the grotto is well preserved.
 
Main tourist attraction of Mt. Maijishan Scenic Area
 
Mount. Maijishan Grottoes
Mount Maijishan Grottoes are located in the eastern section of the western Qinling Mountains, in the xiaolongshan forest mountains. Because the cliff a peak abrupt stand, rise from the ground, like a farm wheat stack, so the name Maiji jishan. The mountain is 142m high, and the top has the relic brick pagoda of the Sui Dynasty. The ancient relic plant, white bark pine is all over the pagoda. The cliff has carved 209 caves for more than 1,600 years, 7,866 clay and stone carvings and more than 1,300 square meters of murals. Maijishan Grottoes is one of the four major grottoes in China, known as the Oriental Sculpture Exhibition Hall. Cliff statues, sky plank road and pine bamboo, red cliff set off each other, there are wheat misty rain and other magical landscape.
 
Mt Maijishan Botanical Garden
Mt. Maijishan Botanical Garden contains more than 1,800 kinds of seed plants from 146 families from both north and south of China. In the botanical garden, waterfalls and springs gurgling, rare birds and animals can be seen everywhere, strange flowers and herbs competing, plus waterside pavilions, pavilions, halls and other leisure facilities, making people have a sense of paradise.
 
Mount XiangJiShan
Xiangji Mountain is located in the south of Maiji Mountain. Like a pyramid of green peak, it is the watershed of the Jialing River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, and the Weihe River, a tributary of the Yellow River. There are cracks in the mountainside, more than 100 meters deep, clear rock wall stripes, colorful. The roof of the cave dripping water all the year round, in winter forming icicles, ice hanging, ice waterfall, crystal clear, like a "crystal palace". The top of the mountain is white with snow, with a "fragrant snow" reputation.
 
Arhat cliff
Arhat cliff shape as an oil cage, so this name. The mountainside cliff wall is exposed, the cliff surface is more than 100 meters long, more than 150 meters high, the cliff hole is preserved in the Song Dynasty suspension plastic III Buddha three and 18 arhat, so also called "arhat cliff". Three clay sculptures shape lifelike, smooth clothes; hidden in the dense red cliffs, and Maijishan constitute the Buddhist land.
 
The Dragon Temple
Jiaolong Temple is located at the junction of Mt. Maijishan scenic area and Xianren Cliff scenic area. In terms of historical data, the temple was built no later than Maijishan Grottoes. In recent years, mainly by the form of private financing, built "first mother palace" and other buildings. The temple is built along the mountain, resplendent and brilliant, coupled with the strange and different magnetic field force, which has a great attraction to tourists and the surrounding people.
 
Xianren Cliff
Xianren Cliff is 15 kilometers away from Maijishan Grottoes, composed of three cliffs, five peaks and six temples. In the Northern Wei Dynasty, Taoism and Buddhism were built with temples on the fairy cliff. It currently has 27 Ming and Qing temples, 197 statues of the Northern Wei, Song, Ming and Qing dynasties, 83 square meters of murals, and 5 precious bronze Buddha statues in the Yongle period. The exquisite clay sculptures of the Ming and Qing Dynasties preserved in the Xianren Cliff Grottoes enrich the number and content of the Maijishan Grottoes in this period, thus forming a complete historical series of the grotto art, and providing detailed material data for the study of the evolution of the clay sculptures.
 
Jingtu Temple
The Pure Land Temple is located behind the fairy cliff. The temple is surrounded by mountains and filled of pines. Mountain wind blowing, pine waving, known as the "pure land ". In recent years, the scenic spot often "Buddha light" appeared, and a natural Buddha head was found on the back mountain cliff, the reputation is far spread at home and abroad.
 
Jieting Ancient Town
Jieting ancient town, namely Jiezi Town, is located at the easternmost end of the Dongge River Valley, on the delta where Huangjiaxia and Wenjiaxia meet. It is a cross-shaped ancient town. North and south Street is 300 meters long, east and west Street is about 400 meters long, and the street is about 9 meters wide. On both sides of the street are mostly for the Ming and Qing dynasties or before the liberation of the civil structure pavement, the entrance of the east and west street is also preserved on the second floor of the ancient city gate hole type. The west of the town has poetry sacred pavilion, the east of the town has Wenchang Pavilion and opera house.
