Taibai Mountain National Forest Park
Ancient forest in Taibai Mountain National Forest ParkLocated at the northern foot of Mount Taibai, the highest peak of the Qinling Mountains, Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is one of the most spectacular mountain destinations in Shaanxi Province. Situated in Meixian County, Baoji City, the park is famous for its magnificent alpine landscapes, ancient forests, rich biodiversity and unique geological features.
Covering an area of approximately 7,287 acres, with more than 94% covered by forests, the park includes 10 scenic areas and over 180 attractions. With elevations ranging from about 1,200 meters to 3,767 meters above sea level, Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is the highest national forest park in China.
The park was officially established in 1991 and opened to visitors in July 1992. Today, it has become a popular destination for nature lovers, hikers and travelers seeking spectacular mountain scenery.

A Mountain of Ice and Beauty
The name Taibai means “extremely white” in Chinese, referring to the snow-covered appearance of the mountain peaks. Due to its high altitude and cold alpine climate, the summit areas of Mount Taibai are covered with snow and ice for much of the year.
The dramatic elevation changes create a wide range of natural landscapes, including forests, alpine meadows, glaciers, waterfalls, valleys and unique rock formations.
With its impressive scenery and peaceful environment, Taibai Mountain offers visitors a chance to experience the beauty of one of China’s most important mountain ecosystems.

Asia’s Natural Botanical Garden
Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is often known as the “Asian Natural Botanical Garden” and the “Natural Zoo of China” because of its extraordinary biodiversity.
The park is home to more than 1,850 species of seed plants and over 1,690 species of insects and animals. Among them are more than 230 species of birds and over 40 species of mammals.
The diverse habitats support many rare and protected species, including:
* Giant pandas
* Golden monkeys

Because of its rich biological resources, Taibai Mountain is considered a natural gene bank and an important area for ecological research and conservation.

Rich Forest Resources and Wildlife
The extensive forests of Taibai Mountain provide ideal habitats for countless species. The combination of high mountains, dense forests and varied climates creates several ecological zones within the park.
Visitors may discover different types of vegetation and wildlife while exploring the scenic trails, making Taibai Mountain an excellent destination for hiking, photography and nature observation.
The park’s unique combination of natural landscapes, biodiversity and cultural heritage has attracted visitors from China and around the world.

A Perfect Destination for Nature Exploration
With its snow-capped peaks, ancient forests, rare wildlife and breathtaking scenery, Taibai Mountain National Forest Park represents one of the finest examples of China’s mountain ecosystems.
Whether exploring alpine landscapes, observing wildlife or enjoying the tranquility of nature, visitors can experience the remarkable beauty of the Qinling Mountains at Taibai Mountain.
