Xining is located on the eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the upper reaches of Huangshui River. It is the political, economic, scientific and technological, cultural and traffic center of Qinghai Province with an average altitude of over 2,200 meters (about 7,217 feet). The activities of human beings in this region can be traced to 2,100 years ago.
During the Western and Eastern Han Dynasties, owing to the development of agriculture, Xining was paid more attention due to its economic and martial significance. As well as being the important hinge between the central plains and the western part of China in ancient time, Xining was the most common passing channel of the famous Silk Road. Until now, it is still the only road by which to enter the hinterland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
Ta'er Lamasery derives its name from the Golden-roofed Lamasery's silver tower built in memory of Zongkaba,the founder of Huangjiao (the YellowSection). The silver tower is called 'Gunbenxianbalin', inTibetan, meaning "a Maitreya Lamasery where 100000 lions roar at a Buddha Portrait."Ta'er Lamasery is located in the Lianhuashan (Lotus) Mountain Valley in the southwest ofLusha'er Township in Huangzhong County.It is the most important sight-seeing sport of Qinghai and one of the cultural relics under thestate protection

D1 Airport-Taer temple-hotel
You first day in Qinghai starts by visiting the Taer temple. It located 25 kilometers in the southwest of Xining. It is the Buddhist center of northwest china and covers an area of 450,000 square meters. The temple is one of the biggest Chinese Buddhist temples. It is a famous tourist destination of Qinghai.
Tonight we will stay in Xining, after we sending you to your hotel. You can have a good rest for the long journey of tomorrow. And you can also walk around.

D2 Xining-Maduo County
You will get up early in the morning, after breakfast we will head for Maduo county. The distance between Xining and Maduo county is about 500 kilometers. We will drive on the express way for about 8 hours. But you will not be boring during this long trip, because of the beautiful scenery along the road. In the late afternoon , we will arrive at Maduo county. And we will stay here for this night. Wish you a nice sleep and sweet dream.
D3Maduo county- Zhaling Lake, Eling Lake
In the morning your guide will pick you up from your hotel , then we will go to the Zhaling Lake. It is a freshwater lake of the Yellow River with an area of 526 square kilometers. The average depth of Zhaling Lake is about 9 meters. For many years, the average temperature of the lake is under fourth-degree. This lake has rich fish resources and a large group of birds inhabit here in the summer.
Then we will go to the E ling Lake. It is also a freshwater lake and blue Long Lake. This lake is about 15 km away from Zaling Lake. They are known as "Sister Lakes" at the source of the Yellow River. The E ling lake is about 32.3 km long and 31.6 km wide. The average depth of this lake is 17.6 m.
After visiting Eling lake, we will leave for Qumalai county. It’s about 300 kilometers, so we will take several hours to get there .
You will get up early in the morning, after breakfast we will head for Maduo county. The distance between Xining and Maduo county is about 500 kilometers. We will drive on the express way for about 8 hours. But you will not be boring during this long trip, because of the beautiful scenery along the road. In the late afternoon , we will arrive at Maduo county. And we will stay here for this night. Wish you a nice sleep and sweet dream.
D3Maduo county- Zhaling Lake, Eling Lake
In the morning your guide will pick you up from your hotel , then we will go to the Zhaling Lake. It is a freshwater lake of the Yellow River with an area of 526 square kilometers. The average depth of Zhaling Lake is about 9 meters. For many years, the average temperature of the lake is under fourth-degree. This lake has rich fish resources and a large group of birds inhabit here in the summer.
Then we will go to the E ling Lake. It is also a freshwater lake and blue Long Lake. This lake is about 15 km away from Zaling Lake. They are known as "Sister Lakes" at the source of the Yellow River. The E ling lake is about 32.3 km long and 31.6 km wide. The average depth of this lake is 17.6 m.
After visiting Eling lake, we will leave for Qumalai county. It’s about 300 kilometers, so we will take several hours to get there .
D4 Qumalai-The source of the Yellow River
Pick up at the hotel and go to visit the source of the Yellow River. Which the tourists can’t imagine is there is no torrential flood. Instead it is a surge of gentle water. Our people begin to have a clear understanding of the source of the Yellow River is after the Tang Dynasty. The source of the Yangtze and the Yellow River are both originated Qinghai province. It is a meaningful place for tourist to visit. Tonight we will stay at Qumalai county.
Pick up at the hotel and go to visit the source of the Yellow River. Which the tourists can’t imagine is there is no torrential flood. Instead it is a surge of gentle water. Our people begin to have a clear understanding of the source of the Yellow River is after the Tang Dynasty. The source of the Yangtze and the Yellow River are both originated Qinghai province. D5 Qumalai-Princess Wencheng Temple(Yushu city)
Today we will drive to visit the Princess Wencheng Temple. It is located in Yushu City of the southwest of the Qinghai province. There has very cold weather. The city's total population is about 10 million people. Princess Wencheng Temple is located in a ditch, which like a big canyon. The statue of Wencheng is about 8m sitting in lotus seat. It is a classic tourist spot for us to go in Yushu city.
Today we will drive to visit the Princess Wencheng Temple. It is located in Yushu City of the southwest of the Qinghai province. There has very cold weather. The city's total population is about 10 million people. Princess Wencheng Temple is located in a ditch, which like a big canyon. The statue of Wencheng is about 8m sitting in lotus seat. It is a classic tourist spot for us to go in Yushu city.
D6 Yushucity-A Ni Ma Qing snow mountain(Ma Qin)
After breakfast we will leave for Ma Qin country to visit the snow mountain-A Ni Ma Qing. It is located in the northwest of Ma Qin County. It is the largest mountain of the source of the Yellow River. This mountain include 13 peaks. As mysterious as its name. This snow mountain symbolize God in Tibetan’s minds. Because its changeable weather here, you need to choose a clear day before into the mountains.
After breakfast we will leave for Ma Qin country to visit the snow mountain-A Ni Ma Qing. It is located in the northwest of Ma Qin County. It is the largest mountain of the source of the Yellow River. This mountain include 13 peaks. As mysterious as its name. This snow mountain symbolize God in Tibetan’s minds. Because its changeable weather here, you need to choose a clear day before into the mountains.
D7 Maqin / Tongren
In the morning , we will head for Tongren .The distance between Maqin and Tongren is about 300 kilometers . And we will spend 8 or 9 hours to get there . During this long journey you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the road .
D8 Tongren- Wutun Temple
Pick you at the hotel and go to the Wutun temple. It is located in Tongren country. It has more than 600 years of history. The temple has a large collection of artworks. With a strong artistic atmosphere, the temple enjoyed a high reputation in the tourism field. The temple has more precious relics than Qinghai’s other temples.
Then we will go back to Xining , we will send you to the airport.
In the morning , we will head for Tongren .The distance between Maqin and Tongren is about 300 kilometers . And we will spend 8 or 9 hours to get there . During this long journey you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the road .
D8 Tongren- Wutun Temple
Pick you at the hotel and go to the Wutun temple. It is located in Tongren country. It has more than 600 years of history. The temple has a large collection of artworks. With a strong artistic atmosphere, the temple enjoyed a high reputation in the tourism field. The temple has more precious relics than Qinghai’s other temples.
Then we will go back to Xining , we will send you to the airport.
