Niya Ruins
The Niya Ruins are located in the desert, 150 km north of Minfeng County. The ruins cover an area of 220 square kilometers with traces of canals and river courses. It acquires fame because of its location at Niya River shore. According to most scholars’ textual research as to what the ruins is exactly, it is the Jingjue country’s former home grounds in HanJin time. It was the annex of Shan in the later period of Eastern Han Dynasty and it was later controlled by Wei Jin dynasty. A great number of books, coins, wooden tools, and silk and gunny articles were excavated from the Niya Ruins.In the Ruins of Niya, they have also found in the dwellings well-preserved tools such as iron axes and sickles, wooden clubs, pottery urns and jars of preserved crops. Also found in wheat, barley, Mi Gu, Manjing, lamb, sheep hoof, melons and other wild food.
