Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan
The Yellow Crane Tower is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Wuhan, Hubei Province. 
and enjoys the title of "the first floor in the world" and "the best scenery in the world". The Yellow Crane Tower is a landmark building in Wuhan. It is one of the three major scenic spots in Wuhan, including Qingchuan Pavilion and Guqin Tai.
The Yellow Crane Tower was first built in The Three Kingdoms Period (223 AD). Cui Hao, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote the Yellow Crane Tower, which made it famous.
The Yellow Crane Tower is located at the top of the Snake Mountain, 61.7 meters above sea level, as the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway trains roared downstairs. The building is 5 floors high, with a total height of 51.4 meters and a construction area of 3,219 square meters. The interior of the Yellow Crane Tower is supported by 72 columns, with 60 warping angles extending to the outside. The roof is covered with more than 100,000 yellow glazed tiles.
Outside the Yellow Crane Tower, the shape of bronze yellow cranes, pagoda, archway, porch, pavilions and other auxiliary buildings, make the main building more magnificent. Around the main building also built the Baiyun Pavilion, elephant pagoda, monument corridor, mountain gate and other buildings. The whole building has a unique national style, and the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge at the foot of the Mountain, the view of Wuhan three towns.
From the Northern Song Dynasty to the 1950s, the Yellow Crane Tower was also used as a famous mountain of Taoism and a monastery for Lu Dongbin to preach, practice and educate.
About the name of the Yellow Crane Tower, there are two words: "because of the mountain" and "because of the fairy"."Because of the fairy" said that there was a fairy driving crane through this, hence the name. One said that a Taoist priest once painted a dancing yellow crane on the wall of the Xin hotel here, so the business of the shop was booming. Ten years later, the Taoist priest came again, recruited the yellow crane with the flute, and flew away by the crane. Xin Shi then invested in the construction of the building.
