Xixia Museum in Wuwei
Xixia Museum, located in front of the Confucian Temple in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is a "回" shaped antique frame structure, covering an area of about 3,570 square meters and an exhibition area of 1,400 square meters. 
The exhibition combines large-scale reliefs, cultural relic pictures, murals and background paintings, which vividly reflects the great achievements of Wuwei in the political, economic, military, cultural and other fields during the reign of the Western Xia Dynasty. The collection includes the national key cultural relics protection units, the national treasure level cultural relics wooden edge pagoda, the national first-class cultural relic Xixia wood painting, Xixia mud movable type version of the scriptures and other important cultural relics.
The treasure of the Museum
The most precious of the exhibits is the Xixia monument. The original name of the Xixia tablet, "Inscription of the Reconstruction of Liangzhou Huguo Temple", is the only and most complete preserved stone tablet with the most common contrast characters both Xixia and Chinese languages in China.2.6 meters high, 1 meter wide, 0.3 meters thick, engraved on both sides. The front of the stone tablet is inscribed by the Xixia characters script, which means "the inscription of the Tower of the emperor".
The text is the Xixia regular script, on the back is the Chinese seal script "Liangzhou reconstruction of the Temple". The inscription tells the story of the initial construction, manifestation and reconstruction of the Baoguo Temple Pagoda, and preserves many historical materials, which is of great value to the study of the Western Xia language and characters, economy and society, and is called the living dictionary of the Xixia text by Chinese and foreign scholars. In addition to the text, there are still a variety of patterns, flowers, figures, etc., carving skills superb and beautiful, with a high level of technology. In 1961, it was announced by The State Council as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
