Tianxing Bridge Scenic Zone
Located near the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area in Anshun, Guizhou Province, the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area is a remarkable natural attraction known for its spectacular karst landscapes, mysterious caves, flowing streams, and unique stone formations.
The scenic area is divided into three major sections: Tianxing Potted Landscape, Tianxing Cave, and the Stone Forest in Water. Together, these areas showcase the incredible geological wonders created by water erosion and limestone formations, making Tianxing Bridge one of the most fascinating destinations in Guizhou.
Tianxing Potted Landscape – A Natural Stone Garden
The Tianxing Potted Landscape stretches along the banks of the Sancha River, covering an area of about 0.19 square kilometers. It is famous for its unique combination of natural rocks, clear water, and stone landscapes in various shapes and sizes.
A winding stone pathway leads visitors through cliffs, valleys, cracks, and waterside landscapes. As travelers walk along the path, they can enjoy different views from every angle, with each turn revealing a new natural scene that resembles a carefully designed landscape garden.
The harmony between rocks, flowing water, and vegetation creates a breathtaking outdoor “bonsai garden” formed entirely by nature.
Tianxing Cave – A Magical Underground Karst World
Located in the middle of the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area, Tianxing Cave is an impressive limestone cave featuring magnificent stalactites, stalagmites, and underground formations.
The cave entrance hall is supported by four stone pillars over 20 meters high, decorated with natural patterns resembling carved dragons and phoenixes. Inside the cave, visitors can explore several spectacular areas with imaginative names inspired by their unique shapes.
The Grape Hall features calcium carbonate formations that resemble clusters of grapes. The “Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea” area presents rows of stalagmites like figures standing along a shoreline, while the “Heavenly Feast” displays colorful stone formations shaped like dishes, cups, and food, creating the impression of a grand underground banquet.
Other fascinating formations inside Tianxing Cave include karst landscapes resembling a Lotus Pool, the Great Wall, a Snow World, and a Miao Village Terrace, as well as natural shapes resembling birds, animals, insects, flowers, trees, fruits, and vegetables.
Stone Forest in Water – A Unique Water-Wrapped Landscape
After flowing approximately one kilometer from the waterfalls, the river reaches the spectacular Stone Forest in Water. Here, the river surrounds the stone forest completely, dividing into branches that flow around the rocks before joining together again.
This rare landscape features winding streams, exposed rocks, and unusual stone formations emerging from the water. The combination of flowing water and limestone pillars creates a natural scene unlike traditional stone forests.
The main attractions include the Silver-chain Waterfalls, Xingxia Flying Waterfalls, Gathering Banyans, Barrier of Root Wall, and Painting of Matted Roots, each showcasing the unique beauty of Guizhou’s karst environment.
