Discover the highlights of Sichuan on this 7-day journey from Chengdu, combining a unique giant panda volunteer experience with UNESCO-listed cultural and natural attractions.

Along the way, you will experience giant panda conservation, traditional Sichuan cuisine, ancient Chinese engineering, Taoist culture, the mysterious Sanxingdui civilization, and the spectacular alpine landscapes of northern Sichuan.
D1 Chengdu / Dujiangyan Giant Panda Garden (L)
Your Sichuan adventure begins in the morning when your private guide picks you up from your hotel in Chengdu and drives to the Dujiangyan Giant Panda Garden.
Upon arrival, begin your hands-on giant panda volunteer experience under the guidance of the local panda care team. Depending on the needs of the panda garden, your activities may include cleaning panda enclosures, preparing bamboo and other food, feeding pandas, and helping with daily maintenance.
The local staff may also introduce you to how panda food is prepared, how the enclosures are maintained, and how the keepers care for pandas as part of their daily conservation work.
The exact activities depend on the garden’s daily requirements, so every visit can be slightly different. Some tasks may be physically demanding or messy, but they offer a rare opportunity to participate in the everyday work of giant panda conservation rather than simply observing pandas as a visitor.
In the late afternoon, leave the panda garden and have dinner before transferring to your hotel.
Overnight in Chengdu.

D2 Xiba Tofu Banquet / Leshan Giant Buddha (L)
In the morning, drive approximately two hours from Chengdu to Leshan. Enjoy the changing scenery of the Chengdu Plain as you travel toward southern Sichuan.

Built more than 2,000 years ago, Dujiangyan uses a sophisticated system of channels, levees, and water-diversion structures to control and distribute river water without relying on a conventional dam.
