The Waterfall Park
Kunming Waterfall Park is one of the newest and most impressive urban attractions in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Featuring a massive artificial waterfall created by two large lakes on different levels, the park has become a popular destination for both local residents and visitors seeking a unique city landscape.
Officially opened to the public on January 1, the park quickly attracted widespread attention for its spectacular design. Unlike traditional natural waterfalls located in remote mountain areas, Kunming Waterfall Park brings a large-scale waterfall experience into an urban environment.
Covering an area of approximately 32 hectares, the park is an impressive engineering project completed over three years. It makes full use of water resources from the Niulan River, creating two artificial lakes with a total water area nearly twice the size of Green Lake in downtown Kunming.
The highlight of the park is the magnificent waterfall, which stretches about 400 meters wide with a drop of nearly 13 meters. Visitors can enjoy different perspectives of the waterfall, including a unique viewpoint from behind the falling water by walking to the upper lake area.
