the Three Gorge Grand Waterfall GEO Park
The Three Gorges Grand Waterfall is a newly developed tourist attraction at the Xiling Gorge mouth of the Yangtze River Three Gorges, renowned for its cascading waterfalls. It is located 34 kilometers from Yichang City in Huanghua Town, Yiling District.
The Three Gorges Grand Waterfall Stream is 5 kilometers long, with over 30 waterfalls distributed along its course. Traveling upstream, one encounters diverse waterfalls such as the Tiger Mouth Waterfall, One-Line Waterfall, Pearl Waterfall, Branch Waterfall, Linked Waterfall, and Five-Fan Waterfall. The main waterfall spans dozens of meters in width, with clear springs cascading down from steep cliffs over 100 meters high, merging with the sky and earth in a spectacular display of misty waters. Even during prolonged droughts, the waterfall remains uninterrupted, earning it the reputation as "China's fourth and Hubei's first."
The scenic area spans hundreds of square miles, with the Laitang River meandering through its landscape. Towering peaks and layered cliffs dominate the terrain, their gorges narrowing to mere four or five meters in width. Gazing upward, one glimpses only a sliver of sky through the narrow crevices. Ancient trees stand densely, creating an atmosphere of profound tranquility. Swift currents and emerald pools reflect each other in crystalline waters, echoing the poetic line: "Clear springs flow over rocks, birdsong deepens the mountain's serenity."

Three Gorge Grand Waterfall is a national 5A-level scenic area. The optimal viewing period is from May to August, with additional visits recommended during October and November.
