D1 Taiyuan
Arrive in Taiyuan at noon, which is the capital city of Shanxi province in Mid China, also the ancient ZhaoKingdom 2000 years ago. In the afternoon you will visit Jingci temple. Jin ci Temple is the ancestral temple of Jin Kingdom 2000 years ago, and hundreds of ancient buildings and trees were well reserved here. And you can walk around in the Maoer Alley, which was the prosperous old street full of foods and business shops.
D2 Taiyuan - Pingyao Driving 1 hour, 106Kms
In the morning you will head to Pingyao. You will drop a visit in the famous Qiao Family Houses, which was the home of the largest business man possessing about 100 houses and yards in Qing Dynasty 200 years ago. In the afternoon and evening you will explore the ancient Pingyao Old City, which is an old city with 3000 years’ history, also has the reputation of one of the Four Old Cities in China.
D3 Pingyao - Hongdong Driving 1.5 hours, 126Kms
In the morning you will continue to explore the old town, and then in the afternoon you will head to Wang Family Houses. Wang Family has 300 years’ history with hundreds of houses and yards full of arts of building and inscription. In the late afternoon you will continue to head to Hongdong city.
D4 Hongdong - Linfeng Driving 40 minutes, 30 Kms
Dahuaishu, also means big locust tree, was the spot of millions of Chinese immigration separating
during Ming dynasty 500 years ago. They left their home and moved to Fujian, Sichuan, etc. It is also the important memorial for many oversea Chinese sacrifice their ancestry. In the afternoon you will head to Guangsheng temple, which was build in 147 AD, and you will explore this ancient and huge Buddhism temple, enjoy many ancient Chinese arts of architecture, sculpture and painting. In the late afternoon head to Linfeng city. Night in local hotel.
