In the huge Great Liangshan mountain area, Yi people with the black robe have been protecting their homeland silently for thousands of years, and the Daliangshan Mountain is still remains far from the tourist track, and the mysterious Bimo culture of Yi people is also well reserved. In this tour China Exploration will take you to explore this last mysterious land, besides it we will also explore the lost civilization of handmaking paper and steam train, and we will also feel the great change of China from the modern dam in the Yangtze River gorge.

D1 Arrive in Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu today, and do some city tours accordingly, such as Panda Garden. Night in local hotel.
D2 Chengdu / Emeishan Paper Making
Paper is one of the great inventions of ancient Chinese. And traditional way of making paper is still well reserved in Sichuan, so in the morning, we will head for one of the family factory located in the bamboo sea, where we will see all of the procedure of making paper, and we will also have chance to practice making paper ourselves.
And then in the afternoon we will visit the ancient Buddhism temple of Fuhu temple in Emeishan. Also have a free walk at the beautiful corridor of Emeishan Kungfu. Night in local hotel.
D3 Emeishan / Ebian Buddhism Scared Mountain Visit
It is a Buddhism pilgrimage tour today. We will firstly take local environment bus to the Golden summit of mountain. When sky is clear, you can overlook the Sichuan Basin, or even see the snow peak of Mt Gongga hundreds miles away, also it is amazing to enjoy the huge golden Buddha Statue with 0 faces. Descend the Emeishan after lunch, and then we will head for Ebian County in two hours’ driving. It is a small county with few tourists. Free to walk around in the county. Night in local hotel.
D4 Ebian / Heizhugou Heizhugou National Park, Yi People Village Homestay
Head for Heizhugou National Park in the morning, and we will enjoy the dense virgin forest, wetland, and pasture in this wide park. Heizhugou has the fame of Chinese Bermuda due to its mysterious tales. In the afternoon we will head for the new Yi people village in Haqu town. These are all newly built Yi villages, and we will be guest in local villagers. And night in local villagers’ house.
D5 Heizhugou / Meigu Visit the Yi people village en route
Today we will explore the ancient and desolate Great Liangshan Mountain. Driving cross the Yizi Mountain Pass in the morning, we will enter the land of Meigu. The folklore is mostly well reserved here, the old dusty villages, Yi people in traditional gown, etc. We will visit one of the villages to explore their life. Arrive in Meigu County in the afternoon. It is a small town, and free to walk around in the late afternoon. Night in local hotel.
D6 Meigu / Leibo / Qianwei Visit the Dam
We will explore different view today. Firstly we will travel through the deep Yangtze River Gorge, and then we will pass by the huge Xilodu Dam, which is a great project almost similar as Three Gorge Dam in Yichang. And the beautiful Ma Lake in Leibo County will also bring us a good view today. In the afternoon we will pass by the bamboo forest covered Muchuan and arrive in Qianwei city in the late afternoon. And drop a visit in ancient Confucius Temple in Qianwei in the late afternoon. Night in local hotel.
D7 Qianwei / Leshan/ Chengdu Visit the Steaming Train, Leshan Giant Buddha
Steam train has almost disappeared in the 21st century, but it is still working as the only transportation tool connecting the villages with the outside world in the deep mountain of Qianwei. So we will experience this lost civilization in Qianwei today. After lunch, you will enjoy the wonder of ‘Buddha is the hill and the hill is a Buddha ‘. And then we will walk on the zigzagging trail of Leshan Giant Buddha mountain. Drive back to Chengdu in the late afternoon. Night in local hotel.
D8 Chengdu Departure
Send to the hotel and fly back your home.
