D1 Beijing Cultural Highlights Tour
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel between 7:00 am and 8:30 am, and begin your Beijing exploration.
Your first stop is Beijing Zoo, where you will have the opportunity to see the adorable Giant Pandas, one of China’s most beloved national treasures. The panda visit takes approximately 40 minutes, offering a great chance to observe these gentle animals in a relaxed environment.
Continue to Yonghe Temple (Lama Temple), the largest and most famous Tibetan-style Buddhist temple in Beijing. With its magnificent architecture, peaceful atmosphere, and rich religious history, Yonghe Temple provides a fascinating insight into Tibetan Buddhism and traditional Chinese culture.
The temple visit lasts about 1 hour and finishes around 11:00 am.
For lunch, enjoy a special cultural experience by dining with local residents in a traditional Beijing home. This allows you to taste authentic local dishes while learning about everyday life and customs in Beijing.
After lunch, explore the charming old neighborhoods of Beijing through a traditional Hutong rickshaw tour.
The hutongs are narrow lanes surrounded by traditional courtyard houses that preserve the historical character of old Beijing. During the approximately 2-hour tour, you will discover local lifestyles, traditional architecture, and the unique atmosphere of Beijing’s historic neighborhoods.
You will also have the opportunity to visit a traditional porcelain factory, where you can learn about this important Chinese handicraft and its artistic techniques.
Later, visit the Beijing Olympic Park and enjoy photo opportunities at the famous National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) and National Aquatics Center (Water Cube).
You will have around 45 minutes to take photos of these iconic Olympic landmarks. If you are interested in exploring the interiors of the stadiums, your guide can assist you with ticket arrangements for a self-guided visit.
Before returning to your hotel, enjoy a short visit to a traditional Chinese Tea House and experience a tea ceremony, learning about one of China’s most important cultural traditions.
After the tour, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel.
