Its highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. A well-known popular saying goes: ‘He who hasn’t been to Great Wall is not a true man’. Located in Yan Qing northwest of Beijing. It was built in the beginning of Ming Dynasty and was a special section of the Ming Great Wall. As an important Pass, Ba Da Ling Great Wall means getting to all the directions in English. The total length is 4500 meters. Many beacon towers, watch towers add more magnificence to the Great Wall.

Your Beijing day tour begins with a pickup from your hotel. You will then drive to the Ming Tombs, one of the best-preserved imperial burial complexes in China, dating back more than 500 years to the Ming Dynasty.
Depending on the day’s arrangement, you will visit Changling or Dingling. Dingling is the mausoleum of the Wanli Emperor, Zhu Yijun, and is particularly famous for its Underground Palace. This underground complex consists of a series of stone chambers arranged like a labyrinth and was the first Ming imperial tomb to be excavated according to a planned archaeological program in China. Spend approximately 2 hours sightseeing at the Ming Tombs and learning about the history and burial traditions of the Ming emperors.
You will finish your visit to the Ming Tombs at around 11:00 am. Before enjoying a traditional Chinese lunch at approximately 11:30 am, make a 45-minute visit to a jade carving factory. Jade carving is one of China’s most distinctive traditional handicrafts. Beyond its exquisite carving techniques, Chinese jade art incorporates rich symbolism and elements of traditional Chinese culture, making it an interesting cultural experience for visitors.
After lunch, continue by road to the Mutianyu Great Wall, located in Huairou District, approximately 75 km from central Beijing. Surrounded by dense forests and rolling pastures, Mutianyu is particularly beautiful as the landscape changes with the seasons.
As one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall, Mutianyu once served as an important northern defensive barrier protecting Beijing and the imperial tombs. Walk along the ancient stone walls and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. For those who prefer to avoid the climb or wish to reach the highest section more easily, a cable car is available as an optional service.
After completing your visit to the Mutianyu Great Wall, you will be transferred back to your hotel, concluding your Beijing day tour.
