D1 Beijing / Mutianyu Great Wall / Forbidden City / Tian’anmen Square
Your Beijing adventure begins with a hotel pick-up in the morning. Your guide and driver will take you to the spectacular Mutianyu Great Wall, located about 75 km northeast of central Beijing.
Surrounded by dense forests and beautiful mountain scenery, Mutianyu Great Wall is considered one of the best-preserved and most picturesque sections of the Great Wall. Built and expanded during the Ming Dynasty, this section served as an important northern defensive barrier protecting Beijing and the imperial tombs.
Compared with other sections, Mutianyu is famous for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful natural surroundings, and fewer crowds. You will walk along the ancient wall, admire the watchtowers, and enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. For visitors who prefer an easier climb, a cable car is available as an optional choice.
After the Great Wall visit, return to downtown Beijing.
Continue to Tian’anmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world and an important symbol of modern Chinese history. The square is surrounded by numerous historical landmarks and monuments reflecting China’s political and cultural development.
From Tian’anmen Square, enter the magnificent Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palace complex in the world. Home to 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Forbidden City has a history of more than 500 years.
You will explore the palace complex along its central north-south axis, visiting the impressive halls, courtyards, and imperial architecture.
Later, drive past two famous modern landmarks — the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) and the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) — built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Transfer back to your hotel after the tour.

D2 Beijing Imperial Culture Tour
Temple of Heaven | Summer Palace
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and begin today’s Beijing exploration.
First, visit the magnificent Temple of Heaven, the largest ancient imperial sacrificial architectural complex in the world. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, emperors came here to pray for good harvests and peace. The unique circular architecture and peaceful surroundings make it one of Beijing’s most impressive historical sites.
The visit takes approximately 1 hour.
After lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy a short visit to a traditional pearl market, where you can learn about pearl culture and browse local products.
Then continue to the beautiful Summer Palace, the largest and most well-preserved imperial garden in China. Originally built as a royal retreat, the Summer Palace combines magnificent architecture, Kunming Lake scenery, and Longevity Hill landscapes. It is often regarded as a masterpiece of Chinese garden design and a “museum of Chinese imperial gardens.”
After approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes of exploration, your Beijing tour ends. Your guide will transfer you back to your hotel.
