Located in Shangping Village, about 3.5 kilometers from Lion and Elephant Gulf, White Horse Cliff is one of the most distinctive landmarks in the canyon.
The cliff received its name because one of the mountain peaks resembles the head of a white horse. This unusual natural formation has become a popular viewpoint for visitors who want to admire the creativity of nature.

Casemate Stone – A Mysterious Ancient Defensive Structure
One of the most fascinating attractions in the East China Grand Canyon is the Casemate Stone, located on the mountainside.
The structure is approximately 9 meters high and consists of many carefully arranged stones. According to local legends, it was built by ancient villagers as a defensive barrier against bandits.
It is said that when enemies approached, villagers could push the stones down the mountain, and the rolling rocks would help defend their village.
The greatest mystery is how ancient people managed to transport and construct such a heavy stone structure on a steep mountainside. Some stones are estimated to weigh 5–6 tons, making visitors wonder about the construction techniques used centuries ago.
Was it built with advanced ancient engineering methods, special tools, or something more mysterious? Visitors can explore the site and discover their own answers.

Traditional Culture and Local Experiences
In addition to its natural scenery, the East China Grand Canyon also provides opportunities to experience local culture.
Visitors can enjoy traditional folk performances and cultural activities, learn about local customs, and even participate in some activities themselves.
