D 1. Arrive at Kashgar
Fly to Kashgar from Beijing, Chengdu or other city directly. Meet with your guide and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon or evening, you can make some city tours in Kashgar accordingly.
 
D2.  Kashgar Tour   
Your Kashgar tours start from the Abak Hoja Tomb, also named as Fragrant Concubine Tomb, which will tell you the unique history and culture of Uygur people.
And then in the afternoon you will back to the city to visit the Cow and Goat Bazaar, which is the largest livestock trade market in Xinjiang. It would be an interesting experience to see their trade.
In the afternoon you will back to the old town of Kashgar, where you will visit the ground of Heytgah Mosque, enjoy its beautiful architecture outside. And then you will free to explore the prosperous and crowded old town of Kashgar. You will visit their old alleys, magnificent handcraft shops, etc, also delicious Muslim food.
 
D3 Kashgar / Tashkurgan  290KM, 5.5hrs’ driving
In the morning you will head to Pamirs plateau, which is just between China and Pakistan border. It is a long driving day of 5 hours. You will pass by Baisha lake, which will show you the beautiful view of white sand desert and lake.
And you will enjoy the Mustag peak and Kalakuli lake on the road.
Arrive inTashkurgan county in the late afternoon. Wall around in the beautiful plateau city, experience the folklore of Tajik people.
 
D4 Tashkurgan / Kashgar   
Visit the plateau of grassland and mountain in the morning. Head back Kashgar in the afternoon.
 
D5 Kashgar /  Hetan  500km, 5.5 hrs’ driving   Driving 5 hrs
Today you will head to Hetan area, which is the remote residency of Urgur people in South Xinjiang. And you will enjoy the landscape of Taklimakan desert en route. Arrive in Hetan in the late afternoon, and walk around the United Ground to stretch your legs. If time allowed, you can visit the Hetan Museum firstly here.
 
D6 Hetan / Kuqa  583Km, 6hrs 
Drive to Kuqa in the north edge of Taklimakan desert today through its heart land. Enjoy the desert, poplar trees and villages all the day. Arrive in Kuqia
 
D7 Kuqa City Tour
In the morning you will visit the Kuqa King Palace, which is the palace used to live by Kuqa king. And then you will head to Kizil Thousand Buddha Cave, which will tell you the former prosperity of Buddhism in this ancient Silk Road. And then you will explore the grand Kuqa Gorge GEO Park, in which you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of Danxia.
 
D8 Kuqa / Urumqi
In the morning head to the airport and fly to Urumqi. End of the South Xinjiang tour.
