22 Days Wonderful Solo Tour in Sichuan
For Ms. Mary Tsao from the United States, China has become one of her favorite destinations. She loves the country's safety, affordability, breathtaking scenery, and, most importantly, the warmth and kindness of its people.
As a retired traveler with a passion for exploration, Mary enjoys discovering China at her own pace. Although her daughter in the United States has a busy work schedule and cannot always travel with her, she fully supports Mary's independent adventures and her love for experiencing different parts of the country.
This summer marked Mary's third journey with China Exploration.

In early June, Mary completed a group tour with China Exploration to the Three Gorges, Enshi, and Wudang Mountain. Inspired by the experience and eager to see more, she decided to continue with a 22-day solo journey through Sichuan Province, a region renowned for its relaxed lifestyle, spectacular landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and unforgettable cuisine.
Upon arriving in office of China Exploration, Mary was warmly welcomed by the China Exploration team. Understanding her travel preferences and needs, Mr. Jason Huang, CEO of China Exploration worked for Mary in person, and he designed a personalized itinerary that balanced comfort, flexibility, and budget for Mary.

The 22-day route included some of Sichuan's most iconic destinations, such as the Leshan Giant Buddha, Mount Emei, Mount Qingcheng, Guangyuan, Mianyang, Jiangyou, Yibin, and the beautiful Bamboo Sea. To help Mary enjoy an authentic local experience while keeping costs reasonable, Jason recommended a combination of high-speed trains, taxis, and other convenient public transportation options.
To ensure that Mary felt comfortable and well supported throughout the journey, two experienced and friendly female tour guides in rotation accompanied her on different sections of the trip. Their patience, local knowledge, and genuine care helped make the experience even more enjoyable.

One of the highlights of this journey was its flexibility. Rather than following a fixed schedule, each day's activities were adjusted according to Mary's energy level and personal interests. On days when she felt adventurous, she explored more destinations and local attractions. When she preferred a slower pace, the itinerary allowed plenty of time for rest, leisurely walks, and meaningful encounters with local people.
These moments of spontaneous interaction gave Mary a deeper appreciation of Sichuan's culture and everyday life, turning her trip into much more than a sightseeing experience.
As always, the happiest journeys seem to pass by far too quickly.
After 22 memorable days, Mary's solo adventure in Sichuan came to an end. She left with wonderful memories, new friendships, and an even stronger connection with China. Deeply satisfied with her experience, Mary expressed her heartfelt thanks to the China Exploration team for their thoughtful service and professional support.
For us, it was a privilege to accompany Mary on another remarkable journey, and we look forward to welcoming her back to China for many more adventures in the years to come.
