Day 01:Kathmandu-Kodari-Zhangmu

Pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu Drive from Kathmandu to Kodari, Nepal-China border on Nepal side, enjoy the marvelous scenery along the way. After immigration formalities in Zhangmu(Sino-Nepal border on China side), enter Tibet Autonomous region of China.
Overnight in Zhangmu.

Day 02: Zhangmu-Tingri (B)
Highlights: Milarepa's Cave
Drive from Zhangmu to Tingri, visit magnificent Milarepa's Cave en route.
Milarepa's Cave or Namkading Cave is a cave where the great Tibetan Buddhist philosopher, and Vajrayana Mahasiddha, Milarepa (c. 1052—c. 1135 CE), spent many years of his life in the eleventh century, 11 km north of the town of Nyalam, below the roadside and above the Matsang river in Nyalam County, Tibet.
Overnight in Tingri.
 
Day 03: Tingri - EBC – Tingri (B)
Highlights: Everest Base Camp
Drive to Mt. Everest Base Camp [5200m],touch the roof of the world, then drive back to Tingri.

Day 04: Tingri- Shigatse (B)
Highlights: Tashilimpu Monastery
Tashilhunpo Monastery was founded in 1447, which is recorded highest Lama in the Gelukpa tradition, and the seat of successive Panchen Lamas in the Xigaze Prefecture. It is located on a hill in the center of the city, the full name in Tibetan of the monastery means "all fortune and happiness gathered here" or "heap of glory".
Overnight in Shigatse.
 
Day 05: Shigatse-Gyantse-Lhasa (B)
Highlights: Pelkhor Monastery, YamdrukTso Lake, Karola Glacier
Palkhor Monastery lies about 230 kilometers south of ,Lhasa and 100 kilometers east of the Shigatse Prefecture, at the foot of Dzong Hill. It is well-known for its Kumbum, which has 108 chapels in its four floors. The multi-storied Kumbum Stupa was crowned with a golden dome and umbrella, surrounded with more chapels filled with unique religious statues and murals.
The highlight of this day is the beautiful turquoise lake, YamdrukTso, located abt 100km to the south-west of ,Lhasa In Tibetan language,the word Yamdrok means upper pasture & Tso means lake,thus literally Yamdro Tso means Upper Pasture Lake. This beautiful turquoise lake is situated as an altitude of 4,441m above sea level. It is the largest freshwater lake at the south foot of the Himalayas abt 678 square kilometers. The lake has a length of 130km and width of 70kms.It is quite a deep lake with the average depth abt 20-40 meters, and it’s deepest is abt 60m below the surface.
Karo-la Glacier is famed as "Ice Queen"on the roof of the world. It is abt 5,600m north of the main peak of Karo-la Mountain. You'll have a long-distance view of this masterpiece of nature.

Day 06: ,Lhasa City (B)

Highlights: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
Morning, visit Potala Palace, worldwide known cardinal landmark of Tibet, which was built in the 7th century by the famous Tibetan king, Songtzen Gampo. It is the highest palace of the world, more than 3,700 meters above sea level. The massive structure itself contains a small world within it. Mostly it is known as the residence of the Dalai Lama lineages. The top of the palace called Golden Roofs. it’s the best spot to bird-view the whole city.
Afternoon, visit Jokhang Temple, situated in the old section of ,Lhasa King Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century A.D. Now it is one of the most sacred place for pilgrims all over the world.
The circuit around it called Barkhor Street, a famous local handmade crafts market, which is a good place to purchase souvenirs.

Day 07: ,Lhasa Suburb (B)

PM-- Sera Monastery
AM: Drepung Monastery was built in 1416 and is the largest monastery of the Gelug Sect. It covers an area of 250,000 square meters.
Drak Yerpa is a place that has deep meanings in the Tibetan spiritual culture. There is a saying goes like this: ",Lhasa is the shrine of Tibet, Drak Yerpa is the shrine of ,Lhasa Not seeing Drak Yerpa in ,Lhasa is just like making a dress without the collar." The entrance to the Yerpa Valley is about 16 km northeast of ,Lhasa on the northern bank of the Kyichu River. From there, it is another 10 km to the famous ancient meditation caves.
Ganden Monastery is one of the 'great three' Gelukpa university monasteries of Tibet, located at the top of Wangbur Mountain, Tagtse County, 36 kilometers ENE from the Potala Palace in ,Lhasa, at an altitude of 4,300m.
PM: Sera Monastery is located in the northern suburb of ,Lhasa City. The monastery was named Sera which means wild rose in the Tibetan language, because the hill behind it was covered with wild roses in bloom when the monastery was built. From of Mon ~ Fri, every afternoon, you ll be able to see monks debating at Sera Monastery.
