Exploring the heart of Inner Mongolia with largest Pot
At the invitation of Inner Mongolia Shibao Group, China Exploration joined more
than 100 domestic travel agencies on an exciting tourism resource survey across Inner Mongolia.
One of the highlights was a visit to Damao county in Baotou, where we experienced the world’s largest pot for mutton cooking. The giant pot measures an impressive 4.88 meters in diameter, 1 meter deep, and 20 mm thick, with a cooking platform measuring 6.6 × 6.6 meters and 1.6 meters high. It can theoretically cook up to 80 sheep, while accommodating as many as 500 people at one time!
Beyond this spectacular culinary experience, the journey offered an authentic glimpse into Inner Mongolia’s rich cultural heritage—from Mongolian Yuan culture and rural development to traditional horse racing and the sacred Obo sacrificial ceremony.
And the representive of China Exploration, Ms. Lily also received the interview by CCTV, which is national official media of China.
A fascinating journey through the landscapes, flavors, traditions, and living culture of Inner Mongolia!
