Baoding Promotes Tourism Culture for the 1st Conference of Hebei Tourism Industry Development

On September 23, Baoding hosted a meeting on tourism culture promotion for the 1st Conference of Hebei Tourism Industry Development. Chaired by Deputy Party Secretary of Hebei and head of Hebei Tourism Development Leading Group Zhao Yong, the meeting was addressed by Hebei governor Zhang Qingwei, CNTA vice chairman Li Shihong, Party secretary of Baoding Nie Ruiping, honorary secretary general of UNWTO Francesco Frangialli, with vice minister of the General Administration of Sport Gao Zhidan, deputy Party secretary of Guizhou Chen Yiqin, and chairman of Hebei Provincial CPPCC Fu Zhifang among the audience.
On behalf of CNTA, Li Shihong congratulated on the opening of the conference. He noted, "Tourism reflects people's longing for and pursuit of better life and plays a special, vital role in advancing economic and social development, improving people's livelihood and the ecological environment, and further opening up the market. Thanks to the efforts made in the past 35 years, China is ushering into the age of mass tourism, with a new round of development for the tourism industry. In recent years, Hebei has been striving to reform related systems and mechanisms, improve public services, integrate industries, build up brand influence and develop demonstration areas for holistic tourism. The coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, the joint hosting of 2022 Winter Olympic Games by Beijing and Zhangjiakou, and collaborative development of the Bohai Rim area will all bring golden development opportunities for Hebei's tourism industry. CNTA will support its development, reform, innovation and opening up as always."
Other attendees included senior officials of Hebei government, heads of Party committees and local governments in Hebei, representatives of international organizations such as the World Tourism Cities Federation, the Pacific Asia Travel Association, and the World Hotel Association, representatives of national tourism authorities, local government officials from overseas, major tour operators in key sources of tourists, representative overseas Chinese, heads of Chinese provincial tourism departments, well-known Chinese experts in tourism, and key Chinese tourism companies, tour operators and investors. Sally Wu Xiaoli, deputy head of Phoenix Satellite Television and Zhao Liying, an actress, are appointed as the ambassadors of tourism in Hebei.
