Tibet is a wide concept with vast land. It is subdivided into 3 parts due to the main residents of different history and culture back ground. They are U-Tibetan, Amdo Tibetan and Kham Tibetan ( Khampa ) . Each of them has their unique culture and landscape, hard to say which is better.
 
But for the air traveler with short time and want a comfortable accommodation, they can go the hot tour site as Lhasa, Jiuzhaigou, Shangrila, for the travelers have longer time and hope to experience more nature and culture of Tibet, they can go to Mt Everest,  Kham and Amdo area. In general, U-Tibetan area is with more tourist track now due to the opening of train, and Kham and Amdo Tibetan is still at its early stage of tourism. Below is the more detailed information about them.
 
U-Tibetan mainly live in the heart place of Tibetan Plateau, with Lhasa as the center,  extending to Shigatse, Shannan, Nyingchi, Ngari and Nakchu, covering the most part of Xizang Tibetan Autonomous Administration Region.
 
In this land, many peaks over 6000 meter rise out the Himalaya mountain series, and Peak Everest is the highest, Mt Kailash is the scared place for Tibetan Buddhism and Indian Religion, Qiangtang grassland in west and north Tibetan plateau provided idea place for the wild donkeys…
 
And there are numerous ancient monasteries and culture relics remained in the cities and snow mountain, the famous are Potala Palace, Jorkang monastery, Sera Monastery, Tesbang Monastery, Samye Monastery, Mindulin monastery, Yongbulakang palace, Saga Monastery, etc.
 
Amdo Tibetan mainly reside in the north part of Tibetan plateau , which is nearly the joint places of Qinghai , Gansu and Sichuan province. It has vast pastures, great potentiality in agricultural , and boundless water, mineral and wild life resources. It is also noted for its numerous snow mountains and the origin of Yangtze River, Yellow River and Lantsang River. There are large and small lakes scattering through out the regain.
 
In this land, you can enjoy the Kunun Mountain, Animaqing Mountain, salt lakes, Jiuzhaigou National Park, Roergai Grassland, etc. And also there are many famous scenic sports of humanity, such as Tare lamasery, Labrang Monastery, Danba Tower style Castles, etc. It also melted 33 ethnic groups, such as Tibetan, hui, Salar, Morgolian and tu.
 
Kham Tibetan, also called Khampa live in the Eastern Tibet plateau, which is the joint of today’s Sichuan, Yunnan ,Qinghai province and Xizang Tibetan Autonomous Administration Region. Kham Tibetan developed the same brilliant culture and civilization as U-Tibetan; furthermore, they developed their unique culture as clothing and King Gesar, etc.
 
Travel in Kham area, the fancy dressing and heroic effluence of Kham Tibetan will give us deep impression. They all have their long hair braided with red tassel tied up around their heads, and a delicacy gold or silver covered dagger hinging in their waist. They are obviously stronger than other Tibetan in their body, which make them look like a mountain moving when they walk in the street. Horse riding and bravery in fighting are their basic skills.
 
Travel in Kham, it the thriving Tibetan Buddhism and monasteries bring travelers the most extraordinary memory. In the crucial domination of Langdama ( A King of ancient Tibet around 10th century AD), most of the Lama fled to Kham region to continue their Buddhism worshiping, thus various Tibetan Buddhism schools were thrived there and well preserved till today. From the largest school of Gelupa, Ninma, Shaga, Kajv, etc to the primeval Bon School, all could be found there. And each year there will be grand religious ceremony and rites in these temples.
 
The nature in Kham is also the most attractive in the world. According to the Buddhism scripture, mysterious Shangri-la is just located in Kham area. And in this land, the beautiful mountains and lakes as Meili Mountain, Quer Mountain, Yala Mountain, Bitahai Lake and Mugecuo Lake…
 
And a few of famous monasteries in Kham Region: the Dengqing Monastery, The Gatuo Monastery, the Gengqing Monastery, the Babang Monastery, the Litang Monastery, Sontzanlin monastery.
