Chengdu is the home of giant Panda, and the giant panda breeding research base of Chengdu is the best place to visit these lovely creature. More than 20 pandas are available there, it is a great fun to enjoy them in the half open yard.
Dufu, the greatest realistic poet of Tang Dynasty 1000 years ago, had lived 3 years in the poor cottage at west Chengdu and left most of his master pieces. Although the thached cottage had been flow away by wind of history, we still felt his existance by his brilliant poem.

Chengdu is regarded as one of the cities with best living environment, and its people also enjoy the life in maximum: They are open for any new things in the world, also can be satisfied for any small success. From the small Buddhism temple of Wenshuyuan and Daoism Temple of Qingyanggong, we can know some about it.

In the morning, your guide will pick you up in your hotel, and then leave for Panda Breeding Research Base in the suburb ( 30 minutes’ driving) . And then we will search the panda gardens in the kingdom of Bamboo. Scores of pandas live in the separate yard happily, feeding food, playing, all make it a paradise of panda. It is also a good chance to take picture for them. It is free! The most amazing is that you can also hold a panda in your arms to take picture by donating some money for panda base. We will bid farewell to dear panda and then head for Wenshuyuan temple in the down town. As the typical Buddhism temple, Wenshu temple will be a good place to know about Zhen Buddhism. In sunny day, locals like to kill their time by playing Majiang and drink tea here. It seems that Buddha does not prohibit small gambling here!

We will enjoy a typical Chengdu food at lunch, and after lunch, we will head for Dufu Thached Cottage in west city. It is about 2 hour’s visit, but also a lecture of ancient Chinese literature. From the beautiful garden and vivid sculpture of Dufu and his cottage, all will tell us the broad heart of great patriot, Mr Dufu. In the late afternoon we will explore Daosim ( Taoism ) temple, Qingyanggong Palace. Qingyanggong Palace, means Green Ram Palace, it is said to be connected with a tale of Laozi 2000 years ago, and people will get god’s blaying by touching the bronze ram in the temple. Of course we will learn about Daoism here. About 1 hour’s visit here. In the late afternoon, our driver will take you back your hotel.
