In the morning, drive to Bingling Temple which is located in Yongjing County, southwest of Lanzhou city. You firstly get to Liujiaxia Reservoir where you take one hour boat ride to Bingling Temple. Bingling Temple Caves, also known as Thousand Buddha Caves, have 183 grottoes filled with 679 stone figures and 82 clay figures carved into natural caves and caverns in a canyon along the Yellow River. Bingling Temple Caves are mainly made up of the upper temple, the lower temple and the caves in between. You can tour around by taking the stairs and the wooden plank road built along the cliffs. Transfer back to Lanzhou in the late afternoon. ( Lunch )
