East Tibetan Plateau is inhabited by Amdo and Kham Tibetan.( Khampa ). In this vast land, snow mountains waving endless, grassland enrolling to the edge of sky, sky blue as just washed by water, yaks feeding calmly, monasteries scattered in mountain and grassland, and friendly Tibetan grinning to visitors. It is the last land of unpolluted and purity, and it is also the idea please for heart purification, religious pilgrimage and close nature touching.

The Horse Racing Festival is the most celebrated holiday in the Eastern Tibetan Plateau. The Tibetans will come from far away and set tents to wait for the big days, here they will have their heart -jumping -out competition of horse riding, relax them in the ancient dancing shows, etc. In the racing festival the brave riders will show the audience their skills of horseback speed riding, shooting, picking scarlet on the fast running horseback, etc. It is a best time of fashion shows. The handsome men and the women will wear their most beautiful folk dresses with valuable Jewelry, and they will support their heroes with thunder-like applauses and cheers. And it is also a good time for trade. Various Tibetan living wares are put on the stands for sale.

     Our travel will take the travelers to explore both the ancient Chinese civilization in the ancient capital and metropolis and the vast Tibetan Plateau. You will be amazed by the discovery, the friendship.

D1__July 21st Arrive in Xining
Arrive in Xining, hotel check-in, and meet your tour leader at hotel in the evening.
D2__July 22nd  Xining / Tongren ( Repkong )
Drive to Tongren in the morning, and explore the monastery of Longwusi ( Ronpo Gonchen Gompa ) Wutun in the afternoon. The handcraft of Tongren is famous in Tibetan area.
D3__July 23rd  Tongren / Mado ( Madoi)
Drive to Madoi all the day via Maqin. Enjoy the Tibetan plateau and mountain en route.
D4__July 24th  Mado / Yushu (Jyekundo )
Tibetan plateau is the paradise of wild animal. You may encounter a few wild donkeys in the wide grassland. In the late afternoon we will drop a visit in the Mani wall out of Yushu town. It is a wonder mixed with nature and religion.
D5__6 July 25th __July 26th Yushu Horse Riding Festival Experience.
We will stay here for 2 days in order to experience this grand ceremony of Tibetan plateau. You will enjoy the breathtaking skill of horse riding as well as enjoy the traditional fashion show and trade market. It is a carnival of Tibetan! 
D7__July 27th  Yushu / Shiqu ( Sequ )
Drive to Shiqu all the day pass by the wide grassland with few people. Shiqu is the habitant of the Sun Tribal, also the origin of famous Tibetan Heroic epic, King Gesar. And you will enjoy the longest Mani wall in the world here. 
D8__July 28th  Shiqu / Dege ( Derge )
Drive to Dege today via Manigango and drop a visit in famous Ningma Tibetan Buddhism ( Red School ) , Dzogchen monastery en route. And today we will also climb over the mountain pass of Yulonglacuo, about 5200 ms in sea level. Arrive in Dege in the late afternoon.
D9 __July 29th Dege Monastery Exploration  
Dege is the important Lamaism base, the diverse monasteries of various section scatter in the mountains and valleys. We will firstly visit the grand Buddhism printing school in the town, which is still keeping the habit of printing scripture by wood-block. And Gongya Monastery in the country side is also worth of a visit.  
D10__July 30th  Dege / Babang / Baiyu
Today we will head for Babang in the morning. Babang Monastery is one of the most famous monastery in Kham area. If we are lucky enough, we may see their Monlam festival. Continue to Baiyu along surging Jinsha river, the upper branch of Yangtze.
D11 __July 31st Baiyu / Ganzi
We will explore the ancient Baiyu monastery in the morning. It is the famous Red School Lamaism monastery again. In the afternoon continue to Ganzi.
D12 __August 1st Ganzi / Daofu ( Dawu )  
Ganzi is the transportation hub of North Kham area, also the base of Gelupa Lamaism ( Yellow School ) , some monastery are famous in Tibetan area. We will drop a visit in one of the monastery in the morning, and then drive to Dawu in the afternoon. Enjoy the beautiful Tibetan building of Dawu en route.
D13__August 2nd Daofu / Danba
Drive to Danba in the morning. Drop a visit in Huiyuan monastery, and enjoy the valley of Bonsai garden, also admire the sacred peak of Mt. Yala.
D14__August 3rd Danba Jiarong Tibetan Culture Exploration
Danba is the home of Jiarong Tibetan, which is a small branch of Tibetan with specific character of Qiang people. We will take you to visit Jiajv Tibetan village and the Tower style castle. If you are lucky enough, you may encounter their winner of Beauty contest.
D15 __August 4th Danba / Chengdu  
Drive to Chengdu, the metropolis of west China, also the big international flight hub, from here you can fly to HK, BKK and other countries. Enjoy a delicious Sichuan Cuisine at dinner.
D16 __August 5th Chengdu Departure
Tour finished. You can fly to other city. END.
