In wide Mongolia highland, Yellow river flow down from Loess plateau and give birth and nurtured the brave Mongolian people. In this area, loess, grassland and desert co-existed, Chinese culture and Mongolian culture mixed. Though this overland tour, you will enjoy both ancient Chinese capital of Xi’an, ingenious Buddhism Fresco in Datong, mysterious West Xia Kingdom and great Genghis Khan mausoleum.

Itinerary :
D1 Xi’an
Meet tour leader at hotel in the evening and prepare for the trip. Night in hotel.
D2 Xi’an / Pingliang
Drive to Pingliang , enjoy the view of Northwest China. Arrive in Mt Kongtong in the afternoon. Night in hotel .  
D3 Mt Kongtong Visit 
Visit Mt Kongtong all the day. Enjoy the rich plants , pretty shaped peaks and ancient temples. Night in hotel . 
D4 Pingliang/ Tongxin
Drive to Tongxin all the day, deep in the north-west of China. Camping.
D5 Tongxin / Shapotou 
Drive to shapotou in the morning, enjoy the pretty Yellow River and sparse Gebi desert, then ride camel in the desert in the afternoon. Camping.
D6 Shapotou / Zhongwei
Continue to relax in Shapotou in the morning, and then head for Zhongwei in the afternoon. Visit the Gao Temple in the late afternoon. Camping .
D7 Zhongwei / Yinchuan
Drive to Yingchuan, visit local Mosque in the city. Night in hotel .
D8 Yinchuan / Ertuokeqi /Yijinhuoer  
Today we will enter the territory of Inner Mongolia, ;enjoy the sparse desert en route. Camping.   
D9 Yijinhuoer / Baotou /Hohhot
WE will visit the tomb of Genghis Khan, then drive to the grassland in the north part of Huhehaote. Night in local Yurt. 
D10 Huhehaote / Datong
Drive to Datong all the day. Enjoy the sparse land of west China. Night in local hotel .
D11 Datong
Visit the Yungang Buddha Caves and Hanging Temple all the day. Night in local hotel .
D12 Datong / Beijing
Drive to Beijing all the day. END.
