We got a good news that Sichuan Expressway Construction and Development Corporation signed an agreement with the government of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Prefecture  on building an expressway that is to link Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou by joining the Chengdu-Wenchuan Highway. The expressway Chengdu-Dujiangyan-Wenchuan was cput into use. The construction of Wenjiu expressway(Wenchuan-Jiuzhaigou) will begin next year as preparations are underway. It is expected that the construction of the expressway will be completed in some five years. It will pass by Maoxian county, Songpan county, Chuanzhusi town and finally reach Jiuzhaigou, one of China's most famous national park and the World Natural Heritage.

Five years later, vistiors can take an easy drive of about 4-5 hours to get to Jiuzhaigou instead of nowadays roughly 10 hours ride. When this expressway is completed, travelling to Jiuzhaigou by land will become an impressive experience with the beautiful mountain and river scnenery song the 2 sides of the expressway.
